Vickie was born in Charlottesville and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She began her career at UVA Health at the Family Medicine Clinic in 1988. Serving the clinic for 17 years in many roles, she transitioned from her position as assistant administrator to continue in the Patient and Guest Department, which is now Hospitality and Support Services. Over time, Vickie served as manager for The Welcome Team, Parking and Transportation, and Valet and Language Services. During the Pandemic, she played a lead role in the Big Shots COVID vaccine clinic.
Vickie is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to each and every patient and is particularly interested in looking for ways to improve access and breaking language barriers for the community and UVA Health patients. She has served on boards for the Charlottesville Track Club and the Shelter for Help and Emergency. She also served as president for the All Night Long After Prom Party for four years.
She loves to support underserved populations in the area and is involved in the community as a volunteer supporting transition needs for many refugee families. She is also a volunteer for the Special Olympics track team. Vickie enjoys spending time with her three children and two grandchildren: Daisy and Leo.
Vickie is excited to join the Population Health team where she will be lending support to her first project, the Mobile Care Clinic.
