Cynthia earned her Bachelor's degree in English from Mary Baldwin University and a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health. She has held teaching, writing, and support positions in mental health work, special education, information technology, technical writing, and community program promotion.
She began her career with the Population Health Department as a Wellness Advocate with the BeWell program in 2016 and currently serves as a Population Health Specialist involved with departmental operations and outreach.
In addition, Cynthia is certified with the International Association of Yoga Therapists and has the highest level of certification with the national Yoga Alliance. She has been teaching yoga and stress management strategies to groups and individuals since 1995.
