Darcy was born at UVA Hospital and has lived in the surrounding area most of her life. She earned a BA from Skidmore College in 1993, and an AS from the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program with the College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, VA in 1998. She became a Certified OTA (COTA) in 1999 and Licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine (COTA/L) in 2009.
Over her career, Darcy has worked locally at Henley Middle School as a Special Education Assistant, the Virginia Institute of Autism as an ABA instructor, and Region Ten Community Services Board as a (Psychiatric) Discharge Liaison and Program Manager of the Transitions Team. She also worked as a COTA/L at Western State Hospital and at local Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facilities and Home Health Companies.
Darcy joined the Case Management Team in 2022. She is passionate about working with and advocating for the people in our area to maximize their safety, independence, and quality of life. Darcy lives with her family in Nelson County and loves spending time outside and on the river.
