SPECIMEN STABILITY
Whole blood stability at room temperature is 1 hour Plasma or serum stability as follows: Stable at room temperature for 24 hours Stable if refrigerated for 3 days Stable if frozen for 30 days

TEST METHODOLOGY
Inorganic phosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate to form a heteropolyacid complex in the presence of a surfactant. The absorbance of the complex at 340 nm above that of sample blanks is directly proportional to the inorganic phosphorus level in the sample.

TESTING SCHEDULE
Performed as requested: 24 hours per day
